Jumi Metals invests in new Hermle C 400 GEN2

Jumi Metals is taking a new step in the further expansion of its metal division with the installation of a Hermle C 400 GEN2. With this investment, the company significantly expands its capabilities for high-quality CNC milling and strengthens its position as a reliable partner for technical metalworking.

More flexibility through 5-axis machining

The Hermle C 400 GEN2 has been developed for economical 5-axis and 5-sided machining. This gives Jumi Metals more flexibility when producing complex metal parts.

Workpieces can be accurately machined from multiple angles, requiring fewer clamping operations and reducing the risk of deviations. For customers, this primarily means greater precision, more consistent quality, and a more efficient production process.

Wide working range and strong capacity

The machine combines a high material removal rate with a very precise finish. As a result, it is particularly suitable for technical parts where dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and surface quality are important.

With a working area of 850 x 700 x 500 mm, the C 400 GEN2 offers ample possibilities within a compact configuration. Larger and heavier parts can also be processed thanks to a maximum table load of 2,000 kg.

Speed, stability and precision

Spindle speeds of up to 20,000 revolutions per minute ensure speed and control during various milling operations. Combined with fast linear travel of 35 meters per minute, this contributes to a smooth turnaround time.

An important technical advantage is the mineral-cast machine bed. This ensures a low-vibration base and high static stability, which is essential for precision milling in metal.

For Jumi Metals, this means that complex shapes, technical components, and fine details can be produced even more consistently. The surface finish also receives a significant upgrade as a result.
